Job Description:
Managing Air Freight cargo as per our metrics and client requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handling of incoming calls as per company requirements
- Positive outlook and team player
- Having all round understanding of the airfreight function to ensure solutions can be provided in a timely manner.
- Communication with clients, airlines, and all relevant departments.
- Airline reservations and bookings
- Ability to liaise effectively with clients and airlines, both telephonically and via e-mail.
- Processing of export related documents, i.e., AWB, SAD500, EUR1, SADC
- Completion of all export / import documents as prescribed by relevant local and international authorities.
- Ability to work under pressure
Job Requirements:
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written
- Cargowise understanding and previous experience would be beneficial
- Ownership and self-motivation, to ensure any challenge is addressed immediately and resolved as soon as possible.
- Word, Excel, Outlook
- General knowledge of available airlines and applicable routes
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
Qualification & Experience:
- General understanding of industry and related job requirements for freight forwarding.
- Must be willing to work on weekends as and when required
- Matric (essential)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in air freight exports and / or imports.
- Knowledge of export related documents, i.e., AWB, SAD500, EUR1, SADC
