DSV General Worker Jobs – Freight Forwarder

Job Description:

Control and monitoring of client’s imports’ cargo prior to arrival, through the customs process until delivery to the client’s nominated delivery point. Will be required to pass landing orders and spending time at the port after hours and/or weekends if required

Job Responsibilities:

• Meet targets and deadlines
• Communicate effectively on all levels
• Build relationships with clients
• Problem solving and system analysis
• Sending out client accurate status reports daily
• Dealing with both internal / external clients and service providers
• Adding charges and notes on Cargowise accurately
• Client liaison telephonically and in person
• Checking PODS and closing off files within the prescribed time
• Providing accurate feedback on Cargowise reports
• Ability to control the operations process with reference to clients’ shipments
• Paying attention to detail and dealing with errors promptly
• Resolve queries from clients

Qualification & Experience:

• Matric
• Must have time management skills
• Tertiary qualification an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Freight imports logistics role
