Dischem Vacancies Midrand – DC Outbound Junior Manager

Job Description:

Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Midrand has an opportunity available for a DC Outbound Junior Manager to join the team. The main purpose of this role will be to achieve operational excellence within the Dis-Chem Distribution Centres, by performing a management function through directing and coordinating the operation of the outbound function.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify supplier issues that impact required financial objectives and address them at the appropriate level internally and externally.
• Ensure that put away and replenishments are done efficiently as per operational requirements.
• Resolve personnel problems by analysing data, investigating issues, and identifying solutions and take corrective action.
• Proactively identify cost saving opportunities with expert insight into to true improvements and their ability to be effectively implemented.
• Ensure training of new staff in that they have the necessary tools and equipment required to perform their duties efficiently.
• Ensure that all stock discrepancies are reported to the inventory team.
• Ensure all managers and supervisors in department manage their staff efficiently.
• Ensure that resources and queues are monitored and optimised as per operational requirements.
• Ensure that replenishment system Master Data is accurate to fulfil purchase orders, report inventory related issues and ensure logistical efficiencies.

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum 2 Years relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment.
• Grade 12 / Matric
• Experience in the Retail/Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Experience with SAP, EWM or other ERP systems.
• Relevant experience in the field of Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
• Relevant Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
