Job Description:

Provide information to the public, attend to queries and assist members of public. Assume duties and responsibilities in terms of the Road Traffic Act. Assure maintenance of high standards of work in terms of quality and testing of all vehicles for roadworthiness and discontinue-notices and curb fraud and corruption.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute all the activities relating to the testing or issuing of roadworthy certificates, flammable liquid permits, certificate of fitness and sealing of taxi meters;
• Deal with all administrative matters that involve the incumbent.
• Execute examination on and weighing of vehicles;
• Execute all the necessary practical activities relating to the application and issuing of vehicle certificates and permits;

Job Requirements:

• Time Management, working independently, under pressure and ability to prioritize.
• Impact and Influence according to City’s protocols, Legislation and standards.
• Customer and Service Delivery Management (Batho Pele) Ethics, Professionalism;
• Computer literacy including MS Office Applications;
• High level of confidentiality and organizational skills;
• Collaborative/Teamwork, Values and Integrity, Attention to detail and quality

Qualification & Experience:

• Valid code EC ad A driver’s licenses.
• 3 years’ relevant experience with no previous convictions;
• Diploma as Examiner of Vehicles;
• Registered as an Examiner for Vehicles Grade A;
• Grade 12 or equivalent/NQF level 4;
