Job Description:
Our Platinum business mines, processes and refines the entire range of platinum group metals (PGMs): platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and osmium. Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining own safe and productive workplace.
- Assist during breakdowns or emergencies.
- Ensuring safe and reliable workmanship.
- Advising defects and abnormalities to appropriate Engineer or manager.
- Ensure teamwork expectations and plans are clear.
- Escalate abnormal operations problems to appropriate Engineer or manager.
- Help engineering employees to maintain equipment in the winder area.
- Respond to standard hauling signals.
- Compiling accurate shift reports.
- Interacting with other teams and systems.
- Adhering to all safety, emergency and first aid procedures.
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum of Standard 8/Grade 10 (ABET 4)
- Mining experience will be an added advantage
- If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Experience of at least 3 years as heavy equipment Operator
- Excavator Certificate/ Front End-Loader Certificate
- Must be able to do standby and overtime
