Job Description:
Determine the data and analytics requirements and ensure all data coming into the Data Analytics Platform is quality data meeting global standards. This will support the successful deployment and use of the Data Analytics Platform, enabling Anglo American’s digital transformation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Proficient: Communications issues and their impact on employee engagement, strategic
- Developing: Understanding of Big Data workflows and related technology
- Monitor and report on quality validation results, trends and issues. Provide potential solutions for diagnosed issues
- Developing: Cloud and Hybrid Cloud computing (PaaS and IaaS)
- Proficient: Business improvement techniques to identify key areas for improvement
- Service the BU requirements from a data services perspective and support the Principal Data Delivery to successfully plan, deploy and close out digital initiatives to enable the digital transformation of the BU
- Determine the engineering, document and technical release requirements
- Proficient: Agile project management methods and practices
- Proficient: Internal communication channels within a large, multinational organisation
- Once the Data Analytics Platform is operational in the BU:
Qualification & Experience:
- Desirable: A postgraduate qualification (Masters / Doctoral degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
- Required: An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline
