Job Description: The Senior Accountant Operations will develop a deep understanding of the KPIs and cost drivers that impact our business performance. Job Responsibilities: Provide & discuss discipline-specific financial reports Support preparation of financial forecasts, taking into account past performance and forward looking risks and opportunities Work side-by-side with discipline Managers & Superintendents to develop budgets, e.g., by providing insights into financial data and consolidating inputs Ensure that processes are established and standardized to allow for trend analysis, correct pigeon holing, feasibility studies, and cost control Perform quality check on variance analysis Support tracking of discipline financial performance against plan Collaborate with discipline to develop risk register, proactively providing financial evaluation (cost/capital) of risk mitigation strategies Training, mentoring and support of all staff Collaborate with discipline management to identify cost improvement opportunities Ensure application / adherence / communication of standard costing rules Qualification & Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in a financial or analytical role preferably within the mining industry Excel will be needed for the role SAP (ERP) experience Relevant degree in finance or related CFA, CA(SA) or ACMA will be advantageous BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) Managing a team/leadership experience Job Details: Company: Anglo American Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Polokwane, Limpopo, SA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here Vacancieshut.com
