Job Description:
Our Platinum business mines, processes and refines the entire range of platinum group metals (PGMs): platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and osmium. We are the world’s leading primary producer of PGMs, which have a range of specialised applications that improve lives across the world, from vehicle fuel cells to jewellery; dentistry to glassmaking; pacemakers to petroleum refining.
Job Responsibilities:
- System trouble shooting and hardware problem resolution
- Support existing instrumentation networks and hardware
- Circulate instrumentation best practices
- Assist with commissioning onsite projects
- Analyse and identify problems on the current control solution
- Calibration and maintenance of all equipment
- Audit high risk and safety areas
Qualification & Experience:
- Registered as a Professional Engineering Technician with ECSA – advantageous
- 3 years relevant work experience
- Knowledge and experience of Siemens PLC Programming, Wincc SCADA System and Plant networks (advantageous)
- Valid Driver’s License- Code 08
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or National N6 Diploma and a Trade Test (Instrumentation)
- Advanced computer literacy
- Running capital projects (advantageous)
