Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to handle difficult situations with a strong focus on problem solving and customer service
  • Liaise with Forwarding Agent for all shipments, documentations, ETAs and delivery schedules
  • Ensure that cost of goods balance back to the supplier invoices and costings
  • Processing of short supplied, damages and return for credit
  • Proper data maintenance: suppliers, system and shipment files
  • Balance shipment files and hand them over to finance for payment
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
  • Daily monitoring and updating of shipment tracker
  • Resolve issues or queries in shipment of goods within the required time frame and ensure that feedback is given to the relevant people timeously
  • All queries from suppliers to be resolved within a required time frame

Qualification & Experience:

  • Matric
  • Completed a degree or diploma in Purchasing or Logistics is advantageous
  • Detail orientated.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills
  • Knowledge and experience of basic bookkeeping & creditors function
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • 5 years within a purchasing and logistics environment in a similar role
