Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing strategic business plans and policies, which enable and support the City’s strategic objectives/priorities and ensuring decision-making and performance accountability.
- Providing the Directorates with leadership and direction; developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders; executing decisions of the
- political structure; advising and guiding the strategic management structure on functional matters and executing policy decisions, by:
- Building a city administration that demonstrates the very best of what South Africa is capable of in honest, responsive, committed local government.
- Achieving excellence in local government service delivery, infrastructure investment, and municipal operations
Job Requirements:
- Institutional governance systems and performance management
- Completed the MFMA minimum competency training or will be expected to achieve such within 18 months after appointment
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of relevant policy and legislation
- At least 5 (five) years’ experience at a senior managerial level within a large and diverse environment
- Exceptional leadership ability with a highly innovative, influential and collaborative approach to leadership.
