Job Description: RCL FOODS is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to join our Vector Logistics Division. The role will be based in Peninsula and report to the Engineering Manager. RCL FOODS is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to perform skilled maintenance, installation, repair and inspection work on complex refrigeration equipment Job Responsibilities: Issue daily job cards and inspect work executed. Render assistance to handyman on faults that cannot be solved on their level of required competence. Planning of work according to the maintenance plan and schedule and per breakdown. Daily inspection of all work completed on-site including site facilities and buildings. Maintenance and repair of all site-related equipment in accordance with the maintenance plan and schedule. The discipline of maintenance handyman and technical assistant under direct control. Management, training, and development of maintenance handyman and technical assistant. Perform standby duties. Ability to assist at other sites when required. Qualification & Experience: Authorized refrigeration practitioner CAT B Transport Refrigeration Matric supplemented by an approved apprenticeship programme in industrial refrigeration Valid Code EB Driver’s license Authorized refrigeration practitioner Cat B Ammonia 3 Years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial/truck refrigeration equipment.
