Job Description: To lead and review the audit process for a portfolio of audits through audit execution and oversight of the audit process to independently and objectively provide assurance that enables client centric risk management. Job Responsibilities: Monitor audit findings raised in audit reports and ensure that remedial action is implemented and delays are discussed with management or presented at the relevant forums. Compile reports to be presented to GAC as and when required for all audit reviews completed at intervals determined by GAC. Engage and build strong relationships with senior audit clients and cross functional stakeholders to gain an understanding of the business (strategy, control environment, risk, changes, operations) that informs the GIA risk assessment, contribute to effective stakeholder engagements, and enable combined assurance. Keep track of regulatory developments impacting the business and provide audit coverage where required by regulations. Conduct portfolio discussions with business and second line functions to arrive at a common understanding of heightened risks and the need for audit reviews. Present proposed audits to GIA Exco and GIA heads for the year ahead and participate in PI planning sessions to review the audit plan on a quarterly basis. Manage and own the audit process by reviewing, checking and ensuring all the relevant steps/processes align to the assurance methodology. Participate in regulatory on-sites held with the relevant regulators as and when required by providing input into presentations prepared by GIA or other areas of the Bank and be able to present to the regulator(s). Establish dependencies between risk-types to decide how best to provide audit coverage and advise business audit and other corporate function audit teams of their involvement where necessary. Produce a comprehensive risk assessment profile of the Market Risk and TCM environment. Qualification & Experience: Degree in Mathematical Sciences such as Mathematics, Statistics or Econometrics; or in a Commercial field such as Accounting, Finance or Economics. Any Relevant Certification (e.g., CIA, FRM, PRM). Exposure to data analytics in any form and ability to handle large volumes of data. An understanding of the business environment or risk landscape relevant to the portfolio. 5-10 years’ experience in internal audit or risk management in areas related to the portfolio.
