Job Responsibilities: Communicating all system defects to appropriate supervisor or manager React appropriately to any abnormal activities & notify relevant shaft supervisor Applying appropriate stand by and/or call out procedures Assisting during breakdowns or emergencies Effective 2-way communication to underground personnel Monitor, control & record all shaft underground & surface variables for optimal performance during a shift. Ensuring high standard of safety Escalating abnormal operations problems to appropriate supervisor or manager Generating improvement ideas Effective operation of control room activities Data logging Controlling surface, shaft & underground operations Activate relevant fire alarm system/evacuation procedure Job Requirements: Chamber of Mines Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control Practical experience of at least 2 years in the Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene Field.
